- 1 cupDried calendula flowers
- 1 cupOlive or jojoba oil
- 1 ozBeeswax pellets
- 10 dropsLavender essential oil (optional)
- 4Small glass tins (1 oz each)

Infuse the oil
Combine calendula and oil in a glass jar. Place in a double boiler over low heat for 1 hour, or sit in a sunny window for 4-6 weeks for a slower infusion.

Strain
Pour through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth, pressing the flowers to extract all the oil. Discard the spent flowers.

Melt the beeswax
Return the strained oil to the double boiler. Add beeswax and stir until fully melted and combined.

Pour and cool
Remove from heat. Stir in lavender oil if using. Pour into tins and let set for 1 hour. Apply 1-2 times daily to affected skin. Shelf life: 1 year.
